Cindy grew up in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor’s in Economics which led to a career with the NASD as a Senior Market Surveillance Analyst for 7 years. While living in Washington, DC she visited the upper Montgomery County area frequently to fill her desire to be near her equine friends which eventually led her to meet her husband, Dr. Peter Eeg.
Cindy has been privileged to own, train and show Thoroughbreds throughout the East coast. Her Stallion, Sir James (registered name “Spoil Me”) showed in the Amateur Owner Division for many years and his offspring went on to excel in show as well.
Over the years Cindy has generally been a behind the scenes employee being our hospital administrator, but has recently become visible as a receptionist a few hours each day, but will quickly abandon the front desk to give a treat or two or catch a whiff of puppy breath!
Cindy’s love for animals extends to all creatures great and small which is evident at her farm where she has 6 horses, 6 chickens, 2 goats, a sheep, 7 dogs; Chili, Taundra, Mr. Magoo, Chipper, Annabelle, Starbuck, and Abby as well as 8 cats; Mama, TJ, Tash, Percy, Zeva, Tinsel, Jack, and Oliver.
When not at the clinic Dr. Eeg and Cindy spend quality time with their daughter Jaime who will be leaving home in the Fall to attend Darmouth.
