Peter H. Eeg, DVM

fishsurgeryDr. Peter Eeg grew up in Wheaton, Maryland and graduated from University of Maryland as an undergrad and graduate in Animal Science, Parasitology, and Immunology. He then attended and graduated with honors earning his veterinary degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating, he interned at Peachtree Veterinary Clinic under the guidance of his lifelong friend; Dr. Chet Anderson. Dr. Eeg took over the reins of Poolesville Veterinary Clinic in 1990, never looking back and always to the future. [read more]

Marianne VanDoorn, BVSc

7522_835865077529_2152120_nDr. VanDoorn grew up in Poolesville, Maryland graduating with the class of 2003. She attended New York University majoring in Biology and minored in Chemistry. In 2008 she moved to Australia where she attended University of Melbourne graduating in 2011 with honors earning her veterinary degree. Dr. VanDoorn joined Poolesville Veterinary Clinic in 2013 as an associate veterinarian.  She enjoys being able to share her knowledge with the community in which she grew up. [read more]

Ashley G. Young, DVM

youngDr. Ashley Young is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. As far back as she can remember, she always wanted to help animals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology at William and Mary, then received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine St. Kitts West Indies with a clinical year at Colorado State University. She joined Poolesville Veterinary Clinic in 2013 as an associate veterinarian and acupuncture specialist. [read more]


AbbyAbby grew up on a local farm in Barnesville and joined the Poolesville Veterinary Clinic family 9 months ago as a technician.

Having grown up with animals she became interested in veterinary medicine when she was a teenager. Originally she worked in a kennel then shortly thereafter she began her important role as a veterinary technician. She feels that one of the best benefits of being a technician is getting to snuggle with our patients. [read more]


CuddledogBrittney first came to the Poolesville Veterinary Clinic volunteering as a high student. Upon graduating from Poolesville High School she attended and graduated from Kaplan College as a medical assistant in human medicine. She quickly realized that her true passion in medicine was with animals and decided to turn her skills over to the four-legged patients and began as a veterinary technician 6 years ago. [read more]


candyCandy moved to the Poolesville community from Chicago in the early 1990’s and became a vital member of Poolesville Veterinary Clinic in 1995 as a veterinary technician. She currently spends most of her time behind a surgical mask, but occasionally gets to visit the patients during appointments. [read more]


CindyCindy grew up in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor’s in Economics which led to a career with the NASD as a Senior Market Surveillance Analyst for 7 years. While living in Washington, DC she visited the upper Montgomery County area frequently to fill her desire to be near her equine friends which eventually led her to meet her husband, Dr. Peter Eeg. Over the years Cindy has generally been a behind the scenes employee being our hospital administrator, but has recently become visible as a receptionist a few hours each day, but will quickly abandon the front desk to give a treat or two or catch a whiff of puppy breath! Ed is a native Washingtonian, growing up in Bethesda, Maryland. He has been at Poolesville Veterinary clinic since 2013 as a veterinary technician. Currently Ed is earing his AAS in Veterinary Technology and will be graduating May 2014. [read more]

She graduated from Poolesville High School in 2010 and went on to attend and graduate from Virginia Tech in 2013 earning a BS in Animal Science and Psychology. On and off (due to schooling) since 2011 Jessica has been one of our technicians.  [read more]


KatKathleen “Kat” grew up in Wheaton, Maryland and currently resides in Middletown, Maryland.  She felt her need to care for animals at an early age which led her to the Montgomery County Humane Society where she was employed for 8 years, then became a veterinary technician at the Poolesville Veterinary Clinic for the last 15 years. She graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor’s in Biology in 2013 and while awaiting her acceptance to veterinary school she has joined our team as a veterinary technician. Her energy and enthusiasm have made her a joy to have around. Kristin enjoys meeting our clients and their pets; most importantly doing her part in helping them be happy and healthy. [read more]

Shortly after graduating college she began working at a local veterinary clinic where she briefly worked with Dr. Eeg.  Martha joined Poolesville Veterinary Clinic in 2012 as a receptionist. Martha enjoys working locally as it allows her to be more involved with helping the community.  [read more]

Her career in veterinary medicine started more than 26 years ago as a receptionist for a large veterinary specialty practice. 15 years ago she came to Poolesville Veterinary Clinic as a receptionist and quickly became an intricate part of the day to day operations and is currently our office manager. She takes pride in the work she does here and is always eager to see you and your pet. [read more]


puppyvetQuentin grew up and lives locally on a 100 acre farm. He became part of Poolesville Veterinary Clinic’s family in 2009. Quentin’s love for animals and eagerness to learn has led him to become an exceptional technician. Quentin’s cheery and sometimes silly personality is loved by all! [read more]
